Help!

Ok, so I need some suggestions on new games that I should play, cause I'm running out. I refuse to get either next gen console, so don't suggest anything for them.

So, I thought it might be a good idea to do an update post on here, seeing as it has been over a month since I posted last. Not much has really happened, other than me deciding to not give up the gaming. I'll do a more detailed post on what's been going later this week.

Time for a lifestyle change

So, as the title of this post states, I'm about to make a huge lifestyle change... I'm going to be trying to quit being a gamer, so as soon as I finish the game I am currently working on, which happens to be Skyrim, I will be giving up the gaming for good. I will due a review of Skyrim once i finish.

Due to this, I plan on making a few adjustments to the blog. I need to think of something to go into place instead of the gaming, so I want you guys, as the readers to leave me some suggestions in the comments below.

300 view Diablo Review!!!

Ok, so I said that I would review Diablo 3 when we reached 300 views.... Finally achieved it!

Diablo 3 for console, simply put, is fucking amazing! I've beaten it on Normal mode once so far, and I've almost completed Act one on Nightmare. So basically, for anyone who doesn't know what Diablo is, Diablo is a video game that was created by Blizzard Entertainment back in 1996. It was just a basic RPG, where you had go down a dungeon and kill various bosses, the final one being Diablo, the Lord of Terror. In 2000, Blizzard released the Sequel, Diablo 2, which surrounded itself around the return of Diablo, and his brothers, Mephisto and Baal. Diablo 3 focuses on the final 2 lesser evils, and then... once again, Diablo's return.

I would highly recommend playing this game. It's rated M, due to the constant bloodshed.

So, Sorry that I haven't been posting much, but come to think of, Nadia and Emily haven't posted in a while either. I've been just way too busy lately, however, I should be posting more often again relatively soon... and again, let's try for that 300 view mark... only 1 view away. Plattsburgh 2013!

So, I had said earlier this week, that I would do some posts on what is keeping me busy this month. I happen to currently be up in Plattsburgh, NY for a fife & drum event that happened earlier today. It was a really fun day, and I personally look forward to coming up here every year. I hopefully will be getting back to my show/ video game reviews later this week, but no guarantees... I do have work to contend with.

Update!

Sorry about the long interval between my posts. As I said in my last update, September is usually an extremely busy month for me, because of fife and drum. I will talk about my experience in fife and drum at a later date, for those of you who don't know what I'm talking about.  As of recently, I started up a new game on console: Diablo 3, Blizzard Entertainments first ever game for a console. Once I'm done with the game on Normal, I will do a review of the game, and how much different the game play is on the Xbox compared to the PC  version.

Firefly Review

So... I realize that I said that I was going to do episode reviews of the show...but I got way to into it to do the episode reviews, so I will just do a show review.

So, Firefly is about a former sergeant turned smuggler named Malcolm Reynolds or Mal for short, after a war with the central planets, or the Alliance. He captains a transport ship, firefly class, called Serenity. With out giving to much away...it's a space western.

I highly recommend every one of you nerdlings(?) to watch this brilliant show. It's only 14 episodes and a movie.

So, I just figured I would do a quick update on here, and let you know why I haven't been posting very much lately. I powered through Firefly so fast that I got into it, and forgot to do the episode recaps, so this week, I will be doing a series review.

Also, just want to give you readers (thinking of something to call you guys still) a heads up, I won't be doing much posting this month. September is always a busy month for me, and I will do the occasional post just to let you guys know what is going on.

Kuroshitsuji - Black Butler {review}

Greetings little fledglings. Goodness that was a horrible beginning. We need to come up with something to call you readers (Will&Emily coughIDEAS?cough). But that's another subject I suppose.
A few days ago I started watching the anime Kuroshitsuji (or Black Butler for the dubbed version). Needless to say I fell in love with it and wanted to review it. Season 1 can be found on netflix, but the OVA episodes and season 2 can be found on dubbedanimeon.com (that's like my favorite anime site ever)

Summary: Ciel Phantomhive is the 12 year old son of an english earl around the year 1888. He's out for revenge after his parents are murdered (and he came back from the underworld but they don't explain too well in the anime). He makes a contract with a demon - the demon will serve him and help him get revenge on whoever killed his family and shamed his name. However, in return, the demon will get his soul. Contract made, Ciel finds himself with a new butler named Sebastian Michaelis who is, as he puts it, "One hell of a butler"
This anime is one of my top 3 at the moment. I'm halfway through KuroshitII but definitely like I better than II. It's very complex at times and simple at others, with fallen angels, demons, shinigami (grim reapers - they're really amusing), and all the politics of noble life in the 19th century. Like most anime, it has many pretty boys in it with raggedy hair and way-too-good-looks (seriously this has the most I've seen and I've watched Ouran High School Host Club - that's saying something lol). The anime itself can be quite whimsical at first, but many darker themes start to arise and twist it until it almost is like a tearjerker anime (that still makes you laugh). And of course there's that one crazy crossdresser (there's always at least one..).

I mean, it has serious scenes where someone dies and your heart feels like it got ripped out of your chest and then things like THIS happen:

Firefly Hiatus

So, I'm currently on hiatus for firefly...I was relying on Amazon Prime, and it expired a couple of days ago. I will be continuing the show as soon as I can, when I set up my Netflix acct, hopefully tomorrow.

Hello I am not the newbie!

Hey Emily here! SOOOOO....Nadia posted first great. I am in to the same nerdy stuff that she is but with one exception, I read way to much ( I mean it I spend more on books than clothing) don't believe me check out my other blog http://notenoughtimetoreadbooks.blogspot.com/.  So today I am going to review Supernatural a T.V show on the CW channel.  It is a very amusing show that began in 2005 and is about two brothers, Sam and Dean, who are called "Hunters" meaning they hunt Ghosts and Demons.  I am only on the 4th season out of 9 and it has taken me all most 2 months to get this far.  This show is for fans of the X-Files and is (in my opinion) really really good!

Firefly Review: Serenity (pilot)

So, this evening I watched Serenity. Meant to do this yesterday, but I had a lot on my plate, and I just couldn't make the time to do so. I thought it was a brilliant episode, and I really can't wait to get further into the series.

So, to start, This show stars Nathan Fillion as Malcolm Reynolds, who is the captain of a firefly class spaceship, called the Serenity. The show kinda has a "Cowboys in space" type thing to it. This show is about a former sergeant, become smuggler, and his travels with his crew. They also bring on passengers to try to get an extra source of income.

This episode was never aired on FOX. I will be watching the aired pilot later this evening.

So, this week is the Bout-of-Books read-athon. I plan on posting daily as to how many pages I have read each day. However, my friend, and fellow author (who hasn't posted anything just yet) Emily, who is also psycho participating in the read-athon, has challenged me to see which one of us can read the most pages in the week. Just a Quick Update

Restarted the story for Dead Rising, hopefully this time it will go a little easier for me. Tomorrow, I'm planning on starting to watch Firefly, which I will be doing episode reviews of, so that will be fun.In the mean time...There will be some Zombie carnage this evening. I might do a post on how much carnage I create later tonight.

Sherlock Season 2 Review

So, I just finished season 2 of Sherlock. Was pretty impressed with Benedict Cumberbatch's portrayal of the famous detective. My thoughts on a Scandal in Belgravia,it was interesting,and confusing. Irene Adler was an interesting character, and in the end, I wasn't surprised that she was working for Moriarty. The Hounds of Baskerville was interesting. I actually wasn't expecting the hound to be a drug induced hallucination, that was given to them by the fog. I will say that the end of The Riechenbach Fall did have me a bit confused, seeing as they clearly showed Sherlock jump off of the hospital, yet he's very much alive. Also, how can Moriarty be dead, when he is Sherlock's main rival. I can't wait to see how they take this in season 3.

Sherlock season 2

Watched the first episode of season 2 last night. Loved how they worked that cliffhanger from season 1. I will be finishing the season this evening after work.

Dead Rising 2 Progress

Basically put: Zombie slaying...don't know how far in the story line I actually am, but...zombies...zombies are awesome...killing them is even better

Games I'm currently working on.

So, I have about 5 or 6 video games that I'm playing currently. Thinking about focusing my energy on 1 right now. I'm currently working on the following games: Oblivion, Dead Rising 2, Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age 2, Game of Thrones, and Fable 3. Gonna finish Dead Rising 2 first.

Sherlock season 1

Just finished watching the first season of Sherlock. It was brilliant, can't wait to start season 2 this evening. Moffat has definitely captured the insanity that is Holmes.
